For the past year I have been participating with the Oxnard Stars youth track and field club as a Midget boy 11-12 year old division. This year I have received recognition as being one of the exemplary members of California Comets a post season track club. My events were the 4 x 400, 4 x 800 and High Jump. My times in my events and high jump height qualified me for the 2011 AAU Junior Olympic Championships that was held in New Orleans, Louisiana from July 30th to August 6th. I was given the chance to compete against the best in North America and Puerto Rico. Although the climate change was extreme 96 degrees with a heat index of 116 degrees, Our relay team was still able to bring home a gold medal in the 4 x 800 relay. I also was selected to personally appear in the 2011 Edition of “The Best Athletes in AAU 2011.” My parents Jacqueline Venegas and James Chambers along with my whole family and a corporate sponsorship from G & C Technologies made my dream a reality.
